FAQs with Karina

I first became interested in fitness because after 15 years as a gymnastics coach it was an easy transition from teaching children to adults. Back in the early 80's fitness was aerobics classes. The 20 minute workout was on tv at lunch time and the workouts were dancey and were choregraphed to music so it was right up my alley.

My favourite part of teaching or training is seeing someone grow their knowledge and confidence in a class or in the gym. To go from almost hating or dreading the workouts to looking forward to them with joy.
-
I don't have a favourite exercise but my favourite workout is lifting weights. I particularly love training my triceps.

My most common training client has evolved over the years. I love training varsity athletes but right now the majority of my clients are 40-70 years old who want to look and move better. Moving easily and pain free in your everyday life is a huge driving force for those seeking out a trainer to guide them.

I don't have a favourite song right now but I love dance music that has an energetic beat 130-150 bpms to pump up my energy. Latin music always makes me want to move.
